If I may, I think part of it too is theatre has the ability to move us because it takes us outside of ourselves and shows us the beauty and truth of life. I think this is even more prominent in The Lion King, mainly because they are animals and not people. We identify with them, and their personalities and take on life, but at the same time they are not us, they are not people and as such these characters have the ability to touch us in a way that plays depicting real life cannot. I think the same is true with literature, as I am discovering once more, having just finished rereading the Lord of the Rings. ;)

Okay, enough rambling, sorry. But Hamlet, eh...I didn't know that! Now where is that copy I bought my Dad for Christmas...

~JosieJo D'Aubignenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2675308438959148454.post-58814329197926168142010-10-19T21:13:39.522-05:002010-10-19T21:13:39.522-05:00@ Vicki - Awww, thanks. They reveal something about you: a beautiful, womanly tenderness, and an innocence but maturity that is rare. You enjoy life and all its little joys that it offers that some people – like me – just don’t see. You are beautifully unique and are going to bless a lucky man someday.

Love,
VickiVictoria Rosehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10722036129595061794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2675308438959148454.post-43759318155480055202010-10-17T21:31:46.773-05:002010-10-17T21:31:46.773-05:00It is not silly at all, Rose! Thanks for posting the video at the end - now I really hope that I'll get a chance to see it some day! It looks so good! And I am so very happy that you had the opportunity to go!Elenatintilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01190748325255565418noreply@blogger.com
