Because I know you all have been dying since my last blog post....

I know, it was so cruel of me, wasn't it?  To give an announcement like "Hey y'all! I'm going back to school!" and then leave you hanging for over a week with nary a word.  I am back now to relieve your prolonged distress and anticipation.

Before I do that, however, here's a quick look at what I was doing in the mean time

I was....

Trying not to get blown off the peak of Mount Washington (75 mph winds that day!)

Riding a 100+ year old carousel

Kissing by the ocean

Visiting the State Liquor Store in New Hampshire

as well as the Shrine of the North American Martyrs in New York

Making a dinner for two, featuring the bass my Knight caught as the main course

And that, my dear readers, is why you have not heard for me in so long.  I hope I might be forgiven!

So yes, I am going back to school - the local junior college, to be exact - as a very part time student.  Only 6 credit hours this term, on day of classes per week which works out well with my work schedule.  The lady I work with who does our scheduling was very excited for me and didn't mind rearranging my schedule while still figuring out a way for me to keep the same amount of hours as before.

What am I going for?  My goal is to get an Associates in Applied Science Degree in Meeting and Special Event Planning.  I am very, very excited about this and can't wait to get started.  I've watched my mom plan and run events all my life - from huge family and friend parties to homeschool events to conferences - and I think that it's an exciting field to get into, as well as one that I could very feasibly do on the side once I'm married and have children.  (Wedding planning sounds like it would be awesome...)

There you have it!  An update on my life and what I've been doing.  I promise I'll do my best to jump back into blogging (semi) regularly again and continue to keep y'all in the loop!

  2. So happy for you, my dear! It all sounds very exciting and I think your degree will be a fabulous way to be a working mom on the side when you have a family of your own. :)
